Purpose

Fans of the Sea is a membership organization designed to support marine conservation and awareness through a television program called Scuba Bob's Ocean Quest which entertains, educates, and enables people to get involved in projects and activities that directly help save the ocean and its incredible life. Sponsorships and donations are also welcomed through our membership program. We are a new project of MarineBio, a US 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, Fans of the Sea is a more than just a club. Fans of the Sea is an organization that seeks funding for projects that promotes the conservation of our Earth's natural resources and requires members to commit to one day a month in the advancement of conservation through donating time, money and/or energy. Donors can provide funding by becoming a memeber of Fans of the Sea. Members can find monthly activities to participate in by signing up for local, regional or global projects. Ocean Quest TV- Scuba Bob's Ocean Quest has completed its 50th 30 minute episode. Travel plans have been scheduled to make 8 expeditions around the world to create new footage for upcoming episodes. These videos are designed to promote ocean conservation, marine awareness and a commitment to make a difference. The market is expanding as the houston cable access channel is looking to link with Dallas and Austin to share programs like Scuba Bob's Ocean Quest, which will expand the viewership from 650,000 homes to over a million. Monthly Activities for Fans of the Sea- As a commitment to make a difference, Fans of the Sea has started giving one day a month to festivals, conventions and organizations to

"Ocean Quest" an Underwater Adventure 4 disk set- Ocean Quest is a 4 disk set DVD collection that will be sent to 1000 schools around the world. This set will include: Disk I- Ocean Crisis "The Need for Conservation"; Disk II- Marine Awareness: The Need for a Healthy Ocean; Disk III- Small Steps: A Commitment to Make a Difference; Disc IV- Extinction: The Future of our Ocean is in Our Hands. Production is going well and the first and second disk should be finished by December.

Mission

Fans of the Sea promotes ocean conservation, marine awareness and a commitment to change. Members commit to promoting and participating in one conservation activity per month.

The project will provide a mechanism that individuals, organizations and corporations can contribute to the renewal of our oceans. Through a weekly television show and web station, videos will reach over 1,000,000 homes throughout Texas and the World. Through donations and contributions organizations and corporations will provide the resources to establish a professional organization that will produce quality programs that will increase man's awareness for the need for ocean conservation. Members of Fans of the Sea will provide the manpower to generate change. Members will contribute one day a month toward the promotion of conservation. By linking with the resources of other non-profits, projects and activities will be readily available to members.

Water is the key to life. As our population grows, we are consuming more and more resources of our planet. A bi-product of an increase in population is pollution and abuse. It is the goal of Fans of the Sea to replace ignorance with knowledge and greed with harmony. Fans of the sea promotes marine awareness, ocean conservation and a commitment to make a difference.

Fans of the Sea

We are a membership organization that sponsors Scuba Bob's Ocean Quest tv program as well as selected marine conservation projects. The memberships are divided into individuals and organizations that provide funding to projects and members who make a commitment to contribute 1 day per month towards local conservation efforts. Through this web site, meetings and activities, projects are made available to members locally, regionally, and globally. Through Fans of the Sea we are able to do more than talk about conservation, we are able to make a difference.
